Prenatal Consultation

In our prenatal consultation we will go over and discuss

  • Your feeding goals

  • Different breastfeeding positions that may work for your specific breast anatomy.

  • Latch and importance of a deep latch, how to hold the breast.

  • Go over medical history and review identify any maternal or infant risks.

  • Disc pumping, pumps and any questions related to expressing milk.

  • Disc how to prepare for birth and helpful coping techniques and breathing exercises

Postpartum Consultation 

In our postpartum consultation we will go over and discuss

  • Review of your labor and birth

  • Breast assessment 

  • Baby oral assessment 

  • Feeding assessment 

  • Weight check

  • Pre and post check (if baby is 7 days or more)

  • Plan of care and f/up in 3-5days or as needed 

  • Referrals to other providers if necessary.

 

* Every dyad is different and  plan of care and information is tailored to every dyad.
